How to install a project template
To install it ....
1. Create a new folder under the
\FieldKit\Projects\ folder on your
computer and give it the name of the project (which is part of the
template filename)
2. Download the project template file, place it in the new project
folder
3. If it is a zip file, double-click on it to decompress it.
To run it ....
1. Start FieldKit
2. Click on the -->File -->Open existing
project menu from the opening page
3. Locate the new project and click on it. The new project will
open.
You can edit the template with Pre-Field
operations, enter data with In-Field
and do gating, analytics and reporting with
Post-Field.
Project Template Downloads
Pre-made templates are great time-savers. Pick one that comes close to your needs, install it (as above), navigate to the Pre-Field operations page, and review all the project-design specs, editing them as you go - and review the Master and Form design pages.
You can perform global search-and-replace on any of the terms in an eForm. From the Pre-Field operations page, click on the >File -->Replace words throughout menu item and follow the instructions.
(Templates will be listed here as they become available)
PAID Project Downloads
Pre-paid projects let you try out Post-Field analysis and reporting functions without having to acquire data or pay for it. You will be able to run tabs, crosstabs, charting, word-counts, text-collating and grounded analyses from any of these projects.
1. Download a ProjectDeployPack from one of
the links below.
2. Save it to the (C:")\FieldKit\ProjectDeployPacks\" folder.
3. Run FieldKit (r)
4. Use the "File > New > Install a deployed FieldKit project" menu
to install it.
5. You can now review data, run tabs, create charts
and try out various analysis without charge.
Note, however, if you edit any of the data values in the paid-for data set, they will lose their PAID status and new tickets will need to be purchased for you to use the new values in your analyses or exports. And if you add new data - such as content-analysis codings of free-text answers, they will need to be paid for before they can be tabbed and analyzed.
PAID Project 1:
Teacher Reactions to No Child Left Behind
(click to download)
Sample Size = 5,594 Respondents
Study Type: eform survey
The project will be named "NCLB" on your computer.
This is a very large database, from a survey conducted in 2009.
The data were collected using Survey Monkey's web survey service, and packed into a
FieldKit data store using the
"File > New > New Project from an
Alien data table" menu.
It includes many open-end essay-type questions in addition to closed-end multiple-choice questions.
Because of its large size, it takes quite a while to load this project. Please be patient.
More pre-paid projects will be listed as they become available
